Modern Construction Show 2026 in Brazil

Overview

The Modern Construction Show (MCS) 2026, held in São Paulo, focused on the industrialization of the Brazilian construction sector to drive productivity and sustainable growth.

Initial event objectives centered on reducing reliance on on-site activities, addressing labor shortages, and integrating construction systems to mitigate environmental impacts. Organizers and associations, including ABCEM, Abcic, and ABRACIME, aimed to discuss how early project decisions could improve performance and predictability.

Following the event, industry experts highlighted that labor shortages and rising costs are the primary drivers for adopting industrialized methods. While industrialization has seen significant progress in logistics hubs, datacenters, and shopping centers, leaders noted growing potential in the housing and commercial building sectors. Discussions emphasized the need for better collaboration between architects, engineers, and manufacturers, alongside the use of modular construction and prefabricated concrete to reduce construction timelines and carbon footprints.
