Modivo Group financial losses and asset write-downs

Modivo Group has undergone significant financial restructuring and reported substantial losses due to asset impairments. In late September 2026, the company announced asset write-downs totaling hundreds of millions of PLN, including 287.6 million PLN for Worldbox assets and 269.8 million PLN for its investment in eobuwie.com. These write-downs were linked to a strategic shift to slow Worldbox retail expansion in favor of the high-margin off-price segment, as well as slower-than-expected financial improvements for both brands. During this period, Michał Kujawa resigned as CEO of Worldbox, with Dariusz Miłek appointed as his successor.

By early October 2026, Modivo Group reported a net loss of 204 million PLN for the second quarter of the 2026/27 fiscal year, a sharp reversal from a 60 million PLN profit in the same period the previous year. This loss was primarily driven by asset impairment charges totaling 557.4 million PLN related to Worldbox and Modivo.com. While the group experienced a net loss, revenue grew by 13 percent year-on-year to 3.045 billion PLN, with the HalfPrice division showing significant growth despite profitability declines in the CCC segment.
