On August 26, U.S. President Donald Trump addressed the speculation during an interview with Glenn Beck. Trump asserted that Mojtaba Khamenei is alive but has sustained “severe injuries to the left side of his body,” specifically affecting his arm and leg. Trump claimed these injuries resulted from military attacks conducted by the United States and Israel during the February offensive. He noted that while Iranian officials claim they must consult Khamenei for final approvals—which he interprets as evidence the leader remains in power—the physical damage remains significant.
