Monti Dauni cultural and administrative recognition

Overview

The Monti Dauni region is engaging in efforts to promote its cultural heritage and recognize local leadership. An upcoming event at the Italian Senate, titled ‘Gioielli della Daunia-Intrecci di storia’, aims to showcase the historical goldsmithing arts of Monti Dauni and Gargano to highlight regional identity.

In a separate development regarding local governance, four mayors from the Monti Dauni area—representing Carlantino, Celle di San Vito, Volturara, and Castelluccio Valmaggiore—were awarded the ‘Castagna d’oro’ at the Stati Generali delle Aree Interne.
