As the September 23, 2026, legislative elections approach, the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) has intensified its political maneuvering and platform detailing. Fouzi Lekjaa, a PAM political bureau member and Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, has launched the party’s electoral campaign, framing its program as a “clear contract” between the party and citizens. Lekjaa recently unveiled an economic and social vision for the 2026–2031 period, estimated to cost 350 billion dirhams. He emphasized that these goals would be achieved without imposing additional taxes on citizens. Key proposals include a comprehensive review of income tax for employees, which could increase monthly incomes by 1,500 to 4,000 dirhams, and raising the minimum pension to 3,000 dirhams. To combat inflation, the party proposes restructuring distribution chains by creating six regional agricultural distribution companies to reduce the influence of intermediaries. Lekjaa also advocated for integrating the informal economy starting in 2027 and expanding social protection for workers in unstable employment. Local representatives have also detailed specific priorities. In Casablanca’s Anfa district, Najwa Kokous unveiled approximately 20 commitments, including improving healthcare, education, and youth cultural facilities. She criticized the use of foreign consultancy firms for social diagnostics, arguing that solutions must stem from the actual needs of the population. Other social measures include providing free monthly electricity for low-consumption households and ensuring widows receive 100 percent of their deceased spouse's pension to cover household and educational costs.
