Moto Guzzi unveils The Trip 500 roadster
Overview
Moto Guzzi has officially unveiled ‘The Trip 500’, a mid-capacity roadster designed to expand the brand’s reach to new riders, including those with A2 licenses. Departing from the manufacturer’s traditional transverse V-twin architecture, the new model features a parallel-twin engine producing approximately 48 hp (35 kW), which is likely derived from the Aprilia 457 platform.
Designed for accessibility and daily use, the motorcycle weighs 180 kg in running order with a seat height starting at 790 mm. Technical features include electronic throttle control with three riding modes—Road, Sport, and Rain—and a 3.6-inch circular TFT display with smartphone connectivity. Additional options include a quickshifter and pictogram navigation.
The styling combines classic elements, such as a 15-litre metal fuel tank and embroidered branding, with modern touches like a Full LED headlight incorporating the brand’s eagle motif. The model will be offered in three colors—Black Metropolis, Green Grove, and Red Beat—as well as a special ‘The Opening’ series. Following its global debut at EICMA 2026 in Milan, dealership arrivals are expected in early 2027.
