The Medicine Hat Speedway serves as a venue for grassroots short-track racing in Southern Alberta. As the only paved oval track in the Central and Southern Alberta region, the non-profit, member-run club offers various racing classes, including Elite Street Stock, Hobby Stock, and Mini C. Originally founded in 1985 as a 3/8-mile clay oval, the facility transitioned to its current paved location in 1993.
