MSC Cruises Alaska cruise program

In July 2026 MSC Cruises deepened its Alaska operations by adding UK marine‑mammal observer Maria Snell to the MSC Poesia for the season. Partnering with the conservation group ORCA, Snell will record whale‑ship interactions, assess shore‑excursion impacts and deliver educational talks, with findings to inform crew training and industry stewardship.

On 29 July 2026 the line opened bookings for its third Alaska summer season in 2028. The MSC Poesia will run weekly seven‑night cruises from Seattle between 24 April and 18 September 2028, calling at Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Juneau, Tracy Arm and Victoria, Canada. The recently renovated ship now includes a MSC Yacht Club with 69 suites, Butler‑and‑Concierge service, new specialty venues – Butcher’s Cut and Kaito Sushi Bar – and upgraded spa and fitness facilities. CEO Gianni Onorato said the launch reflects strong demand since the program’s debut. The announcement also reminded travelers that the 2027 Alaska season (16 April – 27 September) can be booked now, underscoring MSC’s continued expansion and commitment to both market growth and environmental monitoring.
