Municipal initiatives in Soledad de Graciano Sánchez

Overview

The municipal government of Soledad de Graciano Sánchez has launched several community-focused initiatives. To preserve local historical memory and cultural heritage, the municipality released two volumes of ‘Leyendas Soledenses’. These books contain 40 paranormal stories based on historical archives, old newspapers, and resident testimonies, with Municipal Chronicler Amado Juan Sánchez Cabrera noting that over 70 percent are based on real people and events.

Simultaneously, Mayor Juan Manuel Navarro Muñiz is continuing the ‘Apoyo Alimentario Casa por Casa’ program. This food security initiative involves the door-to-door delivery of approximately three tons of white eggs monthly to various neighborhoods. The program has already covered more than half of the municipality, specifically targeting the nutritional needs of children and senior citizens in areas such as the La Misión and San José del Barro colonies. Managed through the Social Development Directorate, the program aims to ensure a balanced diet and reduce household expenses for local families.
