Muratpaşa Belediyespor ice hockey activities

Overview

The Muratpaşa Belediyespor ice hockey team conducted a preparation match at the Dağyakası Ice Rink in anticipation of the Turkish Championship and the April 23 Minikler Tournament. The club includes 41 licensed athletes aged 3 to 15, competing in U8, U10, and U12 categories, with a notable majority of female participants.

During the event, Muratpaşa Mayor Ümit Uysal highlighted the increasing demand for ice sports in Antalya. He advocated for investment from public authorities and the state budget to construct an Olympic-standard ice rink, noting that the existing facility is the only natural ice rink in the Mediterranean region.
