Following the matches, Borne attacked Heights with a ‘Borne Again’ finisher, signaling a split between the former tag team champions. Borne later addressed the incident on social media, stating he did not regret the decision or the title losses. He characterized the attack as a preemptive strike, claiming, “I knew how much it meant to you, and I knew if I turned my back on you, you were going to suplex me into the fifth row.” Borne has since promised to deliver a face-to-face apology to Heights during next week’s episode of NXT.
