The 35th Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) ~~Muktamar~~ Muktamar, held from August 27–31, 2026, at the Bahrul Ulum Tambakberas Islamic Boarding School in Jombang, ~~East Java,~~ has concluded with the election of new leadership for the 2026–2031 term. ~~Following a consensus facilitated by the Ahlul Halli wal Aqdi (AHWA) council,~~ KH Miftachul Akhyar was re-elected as Rais’ ~~Aam.~~ Aam, and KH Abdul Hakim ~~Mahfudz, known as Gus Kikin—a descendant of NU founder KH Hasyim Asy’ari and caretaker of Pondok Pesantren Tebuireng—was~~ Mahfudz (Gus Kikin) was appointed General Chairperson. The committee utilized a dedicated digital portal for accreditation and news management, supported by a Command Center, extensive CCTV, and RFID-equipped press cards. During his closing address, President Prabowo discussed government economic strategies, specifically the restructuring of state-owned enterprises (BUMN).
