Naples Airport infrastructure development plan

A strategic Masterplan for Naples Airport has been presented in the Campania Region, outlining a development roadmap through 2035. The plan involves total investments projected to exceed 250 million euros, with 230 million euros sourced from private resources.

Infrastructure developments include the acquisition of 170,000 square meters of land to support a new 15,000 square meter terminal for extra-Schengen flights, additional aircraft parking stands, a cargo-logistics area, an airport hotel, and improved road access. Financial allocations include 93 million euros for flight infrastructure, 62 million euros for the terminal, and 95 million euros for road access, buildings, and sustainability. More than 13 million euros are specifically earmarked for environmental sustainability.

The project aims to increase efficiency and integration with the city, targeting a sustainable traffic increase to 17.3 million passengers annually by 2035. This growth is intended to be achieved without increasing current hourly capacity, instead relying on larger aircraft, higher load factors, and more efficient flight scheduling.
