National Architecture Exhibition in Balıkesir

Overview

The XX. National Architecture Exhibition and Award-Winning Projects Exhibition was scheduled to be hosted in Balıkesir, organized by the TMMOB Chamber of Architects Balıkesir Branch with support from the Balıkesir City Council.

The exhibition officially opened at the Balıkesir City Council Exhibition Hall with a ceremony led by Prof. Dr. Şengül Öymen Gür. Osman Zeki Şahin, Chairman of the Balıkesir Branch of the Chamber of Architects, noted that the program was established in 1988 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Mimar Sinan's death.

The event showcases award winners, including the Mimar Sinan Grand Prize awarded to Semra Uygur and Özcan Uygur, the Contribution Award to Ömür Bakırer and Celal Abdi Güzer, and the Selection Committee Special Award to Mücella Yapıcı. After its scheduled stay in Balıkesir from September 1 to September 3, the exhibition is set to continue its tour to other provinces across Turkey.
