In a social media post referencing ‘Cowboy Bebop’, the studio stated, “See you, space cowboy… That is a wrap on the very ambitious Intergalactic cinematic shoot!”

Creative director Neil Druckmann has described the project, which has been in development since 2020, as the studio’s “most expansive title to date.” The game is expected to feature a deep gameplay system and a soundtrack composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. While work continues on gameplay mechanics, audio, and post-production, no official release date has been confirmed. However, speculation has emerged regarding a potential appearance at Sony’s State of Play event on September 3, 2026. As the studio’s first new intellectual property since 2013, the project remains under high scrutiny, with industry insiders previously suggesting a potential 2027 launch window.
