Navarra rural development agenda initiative
Overview
Four local action groups in Navarra—Cederna-Garalur, Consorcio EDER, Consorcio Zona Media, and TEDER—have initiated a participatory process to develop a Rural Agenda for Navarra. The project, titled ‘Active Towns, Living Towns,’ aims to establish a joint strategy for rural territory development starting in 2028, aligning with the European Rural Pact and the LEADER program.
A meeting in Obanos involving over 80 stakeholders, including municipal representatives and government officials, identified several priority areas for discussion. These include housing, mobility, employment, services, digitalization, energy, and generational renewal. The initiative seeks to serve as a territorial forum to connect local administrations, businesses, and associations with public policy design.
