NCAA college football weekend matchups

NCAA college football matchups for the weekend of October 17, 2026, feature prominent contests across the SEC and Big 12 conferences.

In the SEC, No. 1 Georgia is scheduled to host Auburn in the ‘Oldest Rivalry in the Deep South’. Georgia enters the game undefeated following a victory over Alabama and is a significant favorite with an 18-point spread. Auburn head coach Alex Golesh confirmed that star linebacker Xavier Atkins will be absent from the game; while specific details were not provided, reports suggest the absence follows disciplinary issues regarding practice habits and team meetings.

Other SEC matchups include No. 15 Kentucky visiting Oklahoma. Kentucky enters the game with a 5-1 record, while Oklahoma holds a 3-2 record and is favored by 6.5 points. Additionally, Georgia quarterbacks Gunner Stockton and South Carolina's LaNorris Sellers have received recognition from the Davey O'Brien Award.

Big 12 action includes a Top-25 matchup between No. 20 Houston and No. 18 Oklahoma State. No. 11 Utah (5-0) travels to face Colorado (2-3). Demand for the Utah-Colorado game has surged, with Colorado Buffaloes ticket prices starting at $158, the highest on their home schedule to date.

Other scheduled matchups include the ‘Sunflower Showdown’ between Kansas and Kansas State, No. 10 Texas Tech hosting Arizona State, and Big Ten games featuring Penn State at Michigan and Michigan hosting Indiana.
