Nest Bank digital service and fee updates

Overview

Nest Bank has implemented several changes to its digital and customer service operations in Poland.

In late September 2026, the bank introduced a new code-based login method for online banking. This system uses a dynamic 12-digit numerical code displayed on a computer screen that users scan via the Nest Bank mobile app. Authentication is finalized through biometrics, a PIN, or avatar-based identity confirmation. Michał Koszykowski, Director of the Electronic Banking and UX Office, noted that the bank developed a proprietary framework for this process to enable deep integration between mobile and online services.

Following these digital updates, the bank announced that starting December 1, 2026, it will introduce fees for telephone assistance. Customers will be charged 17 PLN for simple operations—such as checking balances or ordering standard transfers—that can be performed independently through digital channels. The bank intends to drive usage of its mobile tools and its AI-powered virtual assistant, N!Asystent. Fees will not apply to emergency security matters, such as blocking cards, or during technical outages of the bank’s digital platforms.
