Netflix and Indian government creative partnerships

Overview

To mark its tenth anniversary in India, Netflix has launched a series of initiatives in partnership with the Indian government to support the local creative economy and tourism.

The Netflix India Storytelling Initiative includes partnerships with the Indian Institute of Creative Technologies (IICT) to provide scholarships and curriculum development in visual effects and media technology, as well as cooperation with the National Film Development Corporation (NFDC) to train talent in animation, gaming, comics, and accessibility services such as audio description.

Additionally, Netflix and the Ministry of Tourism launched the "As Seen on Netflix" section on the Incredible India website to promote cultural traditions and filming locations. During these developments, Netflix leadership highlighted the importance of India to global growth and the integration of artificial intelligence in production workflows.
