Netflix released the five-part Swedish mystery thriller ‘Blood Sacrifice’ (Blodsoffer/Blutopfer/Sacrificio de sangre) on August 20, 2026. It continues to lead viewership charts in Sweden, Denmark, and Norway. The investigation into the ‘112 Killer’ reveals the perpetrator to be Peter Johansson, a former agent motivated by revenge. Johansson’s actions stem from a 2024 incident in Järfälla where his partner, Hugo Brankovic, was killed during a domestic violence call. Johansson targets the police institution because he believes the system scapegoated him and failed to provide support.
