Neurodevelopmental healthcare expansion in Chile

Overview

In July 2026, the Municipality of Talca, the Maule Health Service, and the University of Talca opened the Centro Terapéutico y de Neurodivergencia Municipal. This facility provides interdisciplinary care for children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and other neurodevelopmental conditions, aiming to serve approximately 300 users monthly.

By August 2026, the Aura Integral Care Center in Quilpué expanded its services for neurodevelopmental disorders. Supported by technical and business advisory services from the Sercotec Marga Marga Business Development Center, the organization grew from a two-person team to 19 collaborators and opened a second branch to increase patient capacity.
