Neurodivergence and mental health support initiatives in IT

Overview

In Lucera, a collaboration between the social cooperative Il Posto Felice and Restart Lavoro has launched an integrated support project for children, adolescents, and families managing autism and neurodivergence. The initiative focuses on inclusion and autonomy through multidisciplinary educational, rehabilitative, and school-based interventions, alongside services for professional training and socialization.

Expanding on these efforts within the Calabria region, new large-scale initiatives have been introduced to improve mental health and neurodivergent support. The “Centri Aperti. Vite Libere.” program is investing over 10.3 million euros to establish 20 multipurpose centers providing personalized care for individuals aged 16 to 40. Complementing this, the “Parliamone insieme” project offers free psychological support to young people aged 18 to 30, utilizing 48 psychologists to provide assistance through local Community Houses and 24/7 telephone or WhatsApp services without the need for a medical prescription.
