New Asia Forum 2026 investment initiative
Overview
The New Asia Forum (NAF) 2026, scheduled for December 3–4 in Bali, Indonesia, aims to mobilize US$30 billion in investment across the New Asia region. Under the patronage of President Prabowo Subianto and with Danantara Indonesia as a founding partner, the forum seeks to position Asia as a primary hub for innovation and long-term value creation.
Pandu Sjahrir, Chief Investment Officer of Danantara Indonesia, noted that the forum is intended to drive transactions and investment implementation, with Danantara acting as a co-investor alongside global partners. The initiative aims to address the sub-optimal allocation of international capital to the Asia-Pacific region, which currently contributes 60% of global economic growth.
Major global investment institutions, including BlackRock, KKR, Brookfield, Oaktree, and Franklin Templeton, are scheduled to participate. The event expects to convene over 1,000 global leaders and feature more than 100 speakers. Discussions will focus on sectors such as infrastructure, private equity, real estate, energy, and digital connectivity.
