Political figures in Nigeria have begun mobilizing support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

In early September, former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, acting as Deputy National Coordinator for Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A), initiated mobilization efforts across the North Central geopolitical zone. Bello held strategic meetings with state coordinators to focus on grassroots integration and aligning the organization with regional political leadership to promote the administration’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’.

By mid-September, Minister of State for Defence and former Zamfara State Governor Bello Mohammed Matawalle also engaged political stakeholders in Kaduna. While addressing the national emergency of banditry and reaffirming the federal government’s commitment to security, Matawalle urged attendees to mobilize grassroots support for the ‘Tinubu Again Movement’ to assist the President’s upcoming re-election campaign.
