Nitori retail and recycling initiatives in Japan
Overview
Nitori Holdings has implemented several retail and sustainability initiatives in Japan. In late August, the company launched a new slim-design stick cleaner and expanded its summer clearance sale to include up to 2,000 discounted items, such as bedding and household goods.
Following these retail updates, Nitori expanded its free small appliance recycling program on September 1. After a pilot in the Kanto area, the service was extended to the Tohoku, Koshinetsu, Hokuriku, and Tokai regions. The program allows Nitori Members to recycle various small electronics, including microwave ovens and vacuum cleaners, provided they present proof of purchase.
