Norton Motorcycles retail concept partnership
Overview
British motorcycle manufacturer Norton has partnered with architecture firm Foster + Partners to develop a new global retail concept. The strategy aims to support the brand’s international relaunch by moving away from traditional showrooms toward spaces that function more like art galleries.
The modular design allows motorcycles to be presented as ‘mechanical sculptures’ in environments emphasizing craftsmanship and luxury. These spaces are designed to be scalable, ranging from small 50-square-meter units to large flagship locations, with a goal of rolling the concept out to more than 200 dealer locations worldwide.
This initiative follows Norton’s restructuring after its 2020 acquisition by the Indian TVS Motor Company. The project, led by Chief Creative Advisor Gerry McGovern and Lord Norman Foster, is intended to balance British heritage with a modern identity to facilitate market expansion.
