Nàstic de Tarragona has begun its Primera Federación campaign with a strong defensive showing and a recent surge in offensive production. Following a difficult pre-season under new manager Xisco Campos, the team opened the season at the Nou Estadi with a 2-0 victory against Real Zaragoza, featuring goals from Sinan Bakis and Carlos Segura. Nàstic maintained its defensive momentum in a 0-0 draw against FC Cartagena at the Cartagonova Stadium. In their most recent fixture prior to the Sant Andreu match, Nàstic secured a 4-2 victory against Algeciras, a result that moved the team to the top of Group 2. Sinan Bakis, Víctor Villote, and Van Riijn scored, while Diego Gómez secured the win in the 96th minute. Babanzila Meshak was noted as a standout performer with three assists. However, the team’s momentum faced a setback in an away fixture against Juventud Torremolinos, which ended in a 2-2 draw. Despite goals from Eugeni and Borja, Nàstic conceded a late equalizer, failing to secure their first away victory of the season. This result extended a long winless streak on the road dating back nearly ten months. Manager Xisco Camps emphasized the need for focus despite the difficult atmosphere surrounding the opponent. In a subsequent match against Torremolinos, Nàstic secured another draw. Despite a strong first half characterized by high pressure and a goal from Eugeni Valderrama, who marked his return to the starting lineup, the team was penalized by a set-piece situation that prevented a victory. As the season progresses, the team has reached seven points after five matches. Manager Xisco Campos is currently navigating squad rotations and managing player availability. While Diego Gómez and Carlos Segura have emerged as key contributors, several players, including goalkeeper Vicent Abril and defender Fran Gil, have yet to make an official appearance.
