New South Wales Police launched a major homicide investigation after two travelers discovered a suitcase containing what appeared to be human remains on Wolgon Road near Oallen, approximately 60km south of Goulburn.

The discovery initially prompted the deployment of forensic specialists and a police strike force. Superintendent Linda Bradbury stated the object was mistaken for a human body because it was “very realistic,” featuring hair, clothing, a nose piercing, and markings that “resembled bruises and grazes.”

Following forensic examinations, authorities confirmed the remains were not human but were actually a highly realistic doll. Consequently, police have officially concluded the investigation.
