Nvidia RTX Spark ARM chip performance
Overview
In July 2026 Nvidia’s RTX Spark N1X, a 20‑core ARM‑based processor, was evaluated on an engineering sample inside a Microsoft Surface Laptop Ultra. Cinebench 2026 showed the chip marginally ahead of Apple’s 14‑core M3 Max in multi‑core performance (5,771 vs 5,722 points) but a few percent slower in single‑core tests. A leak suggested the Spark lagged the newer Apple M4 Max by roughly 35 % in multi‑core scores while matching the M3 Max on single‑core.
By early August 2026 Nvidia announced that the RTX Spark SoC, developed with MediaTek, will support RTX NTC graphics on Windows 11 ARM. New Geekbench 7 data indicated the chip’s 20‑core configuration scoring 2,570 single‑core and 23,126 multi‑core points, narrowing the gap to within about 11 % of Apple’s M4 Max multi‑core performance. The GPU component is expected to include up to 6,144 CUDA cores, comparable to desktop RTX 5070/3080 cards, though real‑world thermal and graphics results remain to be confirmed.
