OceanPact offshore services expansion in Brazil
Overview
OceanPact has undergone significant structural and operational expansion in Brazil’s maritime sector. Following approval from the antitrust authority CADE, OceanPact finalized a merger with CBO, creating a combined offshore services group. This new entity operates a fleet of 70 vessels and employs over 5,000 people, focusing on subsea operations, environmental response, and integrated logistics.
Building on this integration, OceanPact signed a letter of intent with the Port of Açu to expand its operational footprint in Rio de Janeiro. The agreement includes the immediate addition of approximately 27,000 m² to its existing area, with options to incorporate an additional 60,000 m². This expansion aims to facilitate the development of a private quay to support offshore service and support vessels within the regional oil and gas supply chain.
