Ohmnia tender offer for Azkoyen

Overview

The Basque technological-industrial group Ohmnia, a consortium led by José Antonio Jainaga, initiated a friendly tender offer to acquire all shares of the Navarrese multinational Azkoyen. The bid is valued at 244.5 million euros, offering 10 euros per share.

Following the formal registration of the request with Spain’s CNMV, the German competition authority, Bundeskartellamt, granted unconditional approval for the takeover. The regulator determined the acquisition would not violate competition laws, despite Azkoyen conducting significant business in Germany. The transaction remains subject to authorization from Spain’s National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC).
