Okanagan College student housing in Penticton

Overview

Okanagan College has officially opened its $24 million student housing facility at the Penticton campus, providing 101 beds across 89 units. The development includes studio, two-bedroom, and four-bedroom options, marking the first time all Okanagan College campuses offer on-campus housing.

Following the opening, the college proposed a plan to the City of Penticton to convert the unoccupied student housing units into hotel accommodations during summer months. The college stated that the additional revenue generated from tourist use would help fund future improvements and support more affordable on-campus housing rates for students during the academic year.
