In late July 2026 TikTok influencer Sara Gilson was found dead from a gunshot wound at her Owasso, Oklahoma home, and her estranged husband Jeremiah “Shawn” Duffey died by suicide shortly afterwards, leading investigators to classify the case as a murder‑suicide. Gilson had posted a TikTok video on 11 July accusing Duffey of pedophilia, referencing earlier allegations involving a 15‑year‑old girl he coached.
