Overview

The Dr. Héctor Miguel Cura Municipal Hospital in Olavarría has seen recent developments in both medical infrastructure and professional training.

In mid-August, the hospital acquired a new high-tech hydraulic stretcher for its emergency shock room. The equipment, donated by the hospital’s cooperative following a community campaign, allows for various patient positions and enables X-rays to be taken without moving the patient. Mayor Maximiliano Wesner noted this is part of a “Public Health System Investment and Strengthening Plan” that also includes new ambulances and instrumentation.

Following these equipment upgrades, the hospital celebrated the graduation of 20 medical residents. These professionals completed four years of training across 13 disciplines, including General Surgery, Pediatrics, and Cardiology, as part of the Provincial Residency System of the Ministry of Health of the Province of Buenos Aires.
