The UK-based satellite company Open Cosmos has expanded its operational scope and financial resources. Initially, the company secured a role in supporting a national defence communications push, transitioning from Earth observation into the direct-to-device communications sector. CEO Rafel Jordà Siquier described the contract as a “stamp of approval” for the company’s strategy. Subsequently, Open Cosmos secured €300 million in a Series C funding round led by Lightrock to expand its satellite production capabilities. and ETF Partners.
