The competing flavors include Banana Pudding, which combines banana and vanilla creme; Deep Fried, designed to mimic state fair pastries with chocolate and vanilla creme; and Chicken & Waffles, which features a waffle-textured wafer with dual creme layers containing maple syrup notes alongside savory spices like black pepper and paprika. Consumer reactions have been mixed; while some social media users have shown passion for dessert-focused options, the Chicken & Waffles flavor has faced criticism, with one reviewer describing the taste as ‘reminiscent of chicken instant ramen.’ Oreo’s online store also offers a ‘Summer Carnival Cookie Tin’ containing flavors such as Hot Honey Cornbread, Dill Pickle, Strawberry Shortcake, Chocolate Milkshake & Fries, Lemonade, and Cotton Candy. The Dill Pickle flavor is noted as a returning option from a previous promotion. In China, the partnership with KFC has evolved beyond the ‘Playful Time Travel’ collection, which debuted on 31 July 2026 with a fried-chicken-inspired cookie. This collaboration, featuring a cream filling blended with herbs, spices, and salt, also included a ‘Retro Popcorn’ flavor.
