Osakidetza sexual harassment investigation

Overview

The Basque health service, Osakidetza, faced political pressure following allegations of sexual harassment made by several nurses in Bilbao against a physician. The political coalition EH Bildu requested a parliamentary appearance for Health Minister Alberto Martínez and Osakidetza Director Lorea Bilbao, criticizing previous responses as “superficial” and questioning why the accused physician was promoted to a management-level position rather than facing disciplinary action.
