Overview

Blizzard Entertainment launched Overwatch Season 4, titled ‘Heroes of Busan’, on August 11, 2026.

The update introduces D. Mon (Yuna Lee), a new tank hero and former professional gamer who pilots the MEKA mech ‘Beast’. Her gameplay kit includes a Plasma Saber, Power Barrier, Propulsors, and a Fusion Repeater. Her character lore is explored in the comic ‘Growing Pains’, which follows her efforts to lead the MEKA squad after D. Va’s departure.

The season features a significant overhaul of the Battle Pass system. The 80 tiers are now divided into five shorter tracks, allowing players to prioritize specific rewards. Premium users can utilize a ‘Tier Hack’ feature to swap a seasonal Legendary skin for an item from a curated ‘Swap Pool’ of legacy cosmetics. Furthermore, a mid-season ‘Unvaulted Pass’ has been introduced to help players catch up on previous seasonal rewards.

Additional content includes the ‘Shooting Star: My MEKA Mania’ event, running through August 31, which allows players to vote for their favorite MEKA Squad members. Map refreshes have also been implemented for Busan, Paraíso, and Eichenwalde.
