Pakistan Champions withdrawal from WCL Season 3
Overview
The World Championship of Legends (WCL) Season 3 experienced significant disruption involving the Pakistan Champions. On October 3, organizers postponed a scheduled match between the Pakistan Champions and Bangladesh Champions at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, citing “technical reasons.” This delay followed uncertainty regarding the participation of captain Shahid Afridi and unconfirmed reports that the Pakistan Cricket Board had not issued necessary no-objection certificates.
By October 5, the Pakistan Champions officially withdrew from the tournament, citing “unforeseen circumstances” following the initial match postponement. Although the Pakistan Cricket Board had reportedly issued clearance for the team to participate, the withdrawal brought their campaign to an early end.
