Pan's Labyrinth 20th‑Anniversary Re‑Release

In late June 2026, Cineverse and Fathom Entertainment announced that Guillermo del Toro’s 2006 dark‑fantasy film *Pan’s Labyrinth* would be restored and return to U.S. theatres on 9 October 2026. The director supervised a 4K conversion with optional 3D and HDR formats, and tickets were slated for early‑September sale. A new trailer featuring del Toro’s narration highlighted iconic imagery to attract both longtime fans and new audiences.

At a San Diego Comic‑Con panel in July, del Toro confirmed the 4K‑3D version was completed manually, explicitly refusing any artificial‑intelligence assistance and stating “absolutely no damned AI.” He framed the effort as protecting artistic craftsmanship. The restored edition includes upgraded Dolby Atmos sound, enhanced music, and a refreshed colour palette, with the Inkpot Award presented to del Toro. The panel also featured original cast members Ivana Baquero (Ofelia) and Doug Jones (the Faun and Pale Man), as well as cinematographer Guillermo Navarro, and previewed a documentary about the film’s making.
