In early June PAOK launched a summer recruitment drive, securing MLS winger Liel Abada, Danish forward Sæbjon Silnt and, on 28 June, free‑transfer centre‑back Aritz Elustondo on a two‑year contract with an optional third year, while intensifying interest in left‑back Dimitris Giannoulis. The first team and academy trained in Zaltbommel, Netherlands, posting friendly victories: 4‑1 over Beveren (1 July), 4‑0 over Vesterlo (4 July, Elustondo’s debut) and 3‑2 over AEK Larnaca (7 July). On 9 July PAOK completed a €700 k permanent signing of Swedish‑Somali winger Taha Ali from Malmö FF; he arrived in Thessaloniki on 13 July, passed his medical and signed a three‑year deal. French midfielder Baptiste Santamaria completed his medical on 12 July and was announced on 13 July, joining until 30 June 2027 and taking the number 7 shirt. Elustondo remained under treatment for right‑ankle swelling ahead of the Europa League qualifiers, and other players continued recovery programmes. On 18 July strategic advisor Andreas Papamimikos confirmed that 2026‑27 will be the final season at the current Toumba stadium layout; updated feasibility studies are due early August, a planning permit will be filed by end‑2026 and construction slated for summer 2027, with a new sports centre planned for December 2026. Ticket sales for the 2026‑27 campaign launched the next day, accompanied by a promotional video “Tomorrow Has Your Name On It”. On 24 July new coach Aleš Lisá unveiled a high‑pressing, rapid‑transition system as PAOK opened the season with a 3‑0 win over Dynamo Kyiv in Lublin, rotating the squad and emphasizing stamina and positive energy.
