During an appearance on the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, Paris Jackson discussed her personal history, including her family dynamics and past relationships.

Jackson provided details regarding her upbringing under the care of her father, Michael Jackson. She described a highly structured childhood involving strict rules, such as mandatory chores and schoolwork before leisure activities. She clarified that while she lived at the Neverland Ranch, the estate’s amenities were primarily intended for underprivileged and terminally ill children. Additionally, she explained that her father required the family to wear masks in public to provide them with a sense of anonymity and normalcy.

Regarding her mother, Debbie Rowe, Jackson noted that they first reconnected when she was 15 years old. She described their bond as having become “more refined” and strengthened over time, aided by a lack of rigid expectations in their relationship.

Jackson also detailed the reasons behind her broken engagements. She explained that she ended an engagement to producer Justin Long after realizing through therapy that her emotional needs were not being met, stating, “just because someone is a good person doesn’t mean they’re my person.” She further disclosed a secret engagement that took place during a period of substance abuse, noting that her partner used her own money, without her knowledge, to purchase the engagement ring. Having maintained sobriety for five years, Jackson stated she is now approaching the idea of future marriage “a day at a time.”
