Partners Group private equity fund restructuring
Overview
Swiss asset manager Partners Group is restructuring its Evergreen private equity strategy to address liquidity management challenges and investor redemption requests. To provide greater flexibility and stabilize confidence, the company is transforming its ‘Global Value Sicav’ fund into an umbrella structure containing two distinct sub-portfolios: one dedicated to long-term capital growth and another serving as a distributing fund.
These changes follow periods where redemption requests exceeded regulatory limits, such as a second-quarter request for 9.8% of net asset value. In addition to the fund restructuring, the company is winding down its London-based Private Equity Limited vehicle to facilitate repayments, with distributions scheduled to begin semi-annually on March 31, 2027. Partners Group has also approved approximately 14.8 million euros for share buybacks, intended for completion by January 31, 2027.
