The emergency prompted the evacuation of the industrial zone and the closure of the Coatzacoalcos-Villahermosa highway near the Coatzacoalcos I Bridge.
After nearly 50 hours, emergency crews from Pemex and local civil protection successfully extinguished the fire using water curtains and nitrogen to cool the tank. No injuries were reported, and activities in the area returned to normal once temperatures stabilized.
