June 2026 saw Governor Raquel Lyra’s administration accelerate a multi‑sector development programme across Pernambuco. New kindergartens opened in Ibirajuba, Tuparetama, Serra Talhada and a third creche was approved for Santa Cruz da Baixa Verde (R$ 7 million), while Serra Talhada projects invested R$ 11.1 million for over 600 early‑education places.
