During these interactions, Danis disputed claims regarding his fighting experience and stated he would decline a spot on Dana White’s Contender Series, asserting he is a ‘big money fight’ who seeks main card opportunities instead.

BKFC president David Feldman commented on Perry’s focus on MMA, noting that while Perry has not competed in the BKFC ring since October 2025, he has been permitted to pursue outside opportunities. Feldman expressed interest in potentially arranging a match between Perry and Darren Till in early 2027, depending on the outcome of the Danis bout.

On 24 August, Conor McGregor weighed in on the matchup during an appearance on ‘The Ariel Helwani Show’. Danis reported that McGregor expects an ‘easy submission in under two minutes’ for Danis, suggesting that Perry’s aggressive fighting style may leave him vulnerable to grappling attacks.
