Musician Phil Collins has shared details regarding his health, personal history, and family life in recent interviews. He disclosed significant physical limitations, including drop foot and the aftermath of five knee operations, which have largely prevented him from playing the drums. Collins also addressed a critical medical period in April 2024 when he was hospitalized in Switzerland for pancreatitis caused by alcoholism, a situation that required life support and dialysis.

Reflecting on his personal life at age 75, Collins expressed regret over the dissolution of his three marriages, citing professional commitments and a lack of presence in certain relationships. However, he noted that he has since repaired his relationships with his five children, including actress Lily Collins, particularly following his severe health crisis in 2024. He noted that his health crises had caused significant fear for his family members regarding his survival.

Collins has also reconciled with Paul McCartney, ending a dispute that began in 2002 following a perceived patronizing comment during Queen Elizabeth II’s Golden Jubilee concert. The friction originated when McCartney referred to Collins as ‘our little Phil’ to his then-wife, Heather Mills. The rift deepened in 2016 when Collins discussed the incident in his memoir. The two musicians reconnected via a phone call regarding a charity auction for the King’s Trust, which led to an apology and the resolution of their long-standing disagreement, with reports indicating the two ‘kissed and made up’.
