Various photography festivals and exhibitions are scheduled across Italy for late 2026. In the Lombardy region, the Ubiqua Festival at Villa Ghirlanda in Cinisello Balsamo Balsamo, hosted by the Museo Nazionale di Fotografia, runs from September 18 to 20. The event explores the intersection of photography and music through exhibitions by artists such as Jacopo Benassi and Vincenzo Castella. Castella, alongside ‘Vedere oltre. Fotografia e sacro’, which features over 90 works by masters including Jodice and Giacomelli. Supported by the Ministry of Culture’s Photography Strategy 2025, the festival includes live performances by the duo Trasmissione and violist Vladyslava Luchenko. Additionally, the Musei Civici in Monza will host ‘Il Parco di Monza tra realtà e magia’, magia’ from September 18 to 27, a collective exhibition by 14 photographers from the Circolo Fotografico Monzese. Other major events include the second edition of ‘October photo’ in Milan, organized by the Istituto Italiano di Fotografia, which focuses on young contemporary photographers and street photography. In Martina Franca, the 23rd FotoArte International Photography Festival will take place at in Martina Franca. In Oristano, the Palazzo Ducale under Pinacoteca Carlo Contini will host a debate on October 10 titled ‘L’arte legata. La pratica del kinbaku nella poetica di Araki’. This event concludes the theme ‘Topos – Atlante Di Martina Franca’, examining ‘Secret Pages’ exhibition dedicated to Nobuyoshi Araki as part of the concept 28th Dromos Festival, featuring a live demonstration of place through Japanese rope binding. In Caserta, the city’s landscape. Museo Reggia di Caserta is hosting ‘Archetipi’ by Antonio Biasiucci, featuring approximately 300 photographs and multimedia installations, with guided tours scheduled for October 9 and throughout November.
