Sony’s July 2026 PlayStation Plus announcements introduced the month’s free‑game slate—Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, For the King II and CrossCode—available from 7 July and redeemable until 3 August. Later that month Sony detailed the The August 2026 Essential lineup: lineup, offered to all Plus subscription tiers (Essential, Extra, Premium), adds Dying Light 2 Stay Human Reloaded Edition (PS5/PS4), the co‑op adventure Big Walk (PS5 only) and the retro‑horror Signalis (PS4 only). Subscribers can add claim these titles to their libraries from 4 August, with the download claim window closing on 31 August. An accompanying August (the catalogue may close on 1 September in some regions). Each game must be added to the user’s library before the deadline and remains attached as long as the PlayStation Plus subscription stays active. A Marvel Tokon: Tōkon: Fighting Souls pack launches on 6 August, automatically crediting all PlayStation Plus members. The pack supplies five themed avatars—Captain America, Storm, Spider‑Man, Doctor Doom and Ghost Rider—and result‑screen poses for twenty launch characters. It is available claimable on PS5 and PC, remains claimable PC for one year, year and will be removed on 6 August 2027. July’s free titles remain stay redeemable through 3 August, August; after which that, the August games become the sole free‑game offering for the month. The announcement also confirms that PlayStation 4 titles continue to be offered despite Sony’s earlier plan to phase them out.
