In 2026, several Polish public safety and community organisations marked significant centennial and multi-decade milestones. In July, the volunteer fire brigade of Ursus (Warsaw) logged 50 interventions, including five fires, 28 local hazards, nine safety operations, three training exercises, and five false alarms, underscoring its readiness and cooperation with other services. On 1 August, the volunteer fire brigade of Rzemień celebrated its 100th anniversary with a mass, speeches, a commemorative plaque, medals, awards, and a community picnic. Separately, the Polish National Police observed the 100-year anniversary of sport within the force by launching a public poll on its ‘Sport w Policji’ Facebook page, inviting adults to vote for the most popular police athlete between 24 July and 28 October. The Volunteer Fire Brigade in Latyczyn also marked its centenary with a ceremony that included a mass, flag-raising, and the presentation of the Gold Badge of the Polish Volunteer Firefighters Association, attended by local officials. Further commemorations occurred in late August. In Zbuczyn, the Volunteer Fire Department marked its 110th anniversary, receiving the Bolesław Chomicic medal and unveiling a 110 kg commemorative bell. In the Zgorzelec municipality, volunteer fire departments from Gronów, Radomierzyce, Sławnikowice, and Trójca celebrated 80 years of service during a jubilee in Łagów on 21 August. Additionally, on 23 August, Archbishop Adam Szal presided over a thanksgiving Mass in Gorzyce Przeworskie to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the Grave Guard. Additional anniversaries were noted in late August. OSP Miałkówek marked its centenary, though it was forced to relocate its ceremony after a local resident intentionally plowed the original event site. OSP Rękoraj also celebrated 100 years, receiving the Golden Sign of the OSP Union of Poland. Furthermore, OSP Bierna celebrated its 80th anniversary with the presentation of various service medals and a new rescue quad.
